Unitywater

Incident Management System

Challenge

Unitywater have been an Intelex client since 2008, beginning with a smaller implementation at what was then Moreton Bay Water (MBW) and scaling up the installation following the amalgamation of MBW and two other water utilities into Unitywater.  They utilise the Intelex Incident Management System, supplied and serviced by Graham A Brown & Associates.

Strategy

In 2012 Unitywater upgraded from Intelex version 5 to version 6 in order to utilise the capabilities of the app builder, which allowed them to create an incident management system with the forms and workflows they desired. The incident management system is now rolled out over 50 locations and 800 employees.

The modular approach of Intelex has allowed Unitywater to add to their system over time, incorporating the Intelex Enterprise Risk app into the existing system in 2015.

Results

The V6 upgrade and development of the Incident Management System followed our proven implementation methodology, with Graham A Brown & Associates working closely with Unitywater and dedicated support staff in Intelex Canada as required.  The methodology follows an agile approach and the design workshop and following stages of the implementation plan allow for iteration and flexibility in order to deliver the best possible solution.

Outcomes and benefits delivered from the project include:

  • Ability to centralise incidents of various types into one system, where previously different systems were used for different incidents.
  • Easy access to reports and dashboards for management, with the ability to consider across-the-board data or to drill down as required.
  • It has given Unitywater the platform to expand to include future types of incidents.
